Mathieu Louis is the President/CEO of Global Reach, LLC., a multi-media company focusing on delivering online content to individuals worldwide. Based in the Washington D.C. metro area, Global Reach delivers news, entertainment, and education through its several active online resources.

Mr. Louis was born in L’artibonite, Haiti which is 5 hours north of Port-au-Prince. Mr. Louis grew up helping his father farm mangos, sugar cane and especially rice as L’artibonite was the sole rice supplier in Haiti.

Mr. Louis migrated to Port-au-Prince at the age of 5. He attended the public school system until he migrated to the United States at the age of 12.

Mr. Louis attented Florida State University where he obtained a Post-Master and Master of Information Science and a Bachelor of International Affairs with a concentration in International Business. His research topic is “Cross-Cultural Information Retrieval : Creating a better alternative to control vocabulary that focus on Open-text algorithm”.

After graduation, Mr. Louis joined Hewitt Associates in Orlando FL as System Associate. He analyzed, developed, tested and deployed two separate health benefits software components based on external client requirements.

Mr. Louis joined Blackboard, an online education software company, as Quality Assurance Engineer. He developed test plans and software in order to meet internal and external requirements and standards.

Mr. Louis’s first entreprenuerial experience came in 1998 when the campus bookstore offered him only $5 for a $100 textbook. The bookstore sold the book for $80 the next summer. In response, Mr. Louis created Bookzella.com an online trading tool that allowed students save money on textbooks.

Today, Mr. Louis is in his third year of building a small multi-media online learning center in Sate 5 miles from the center of Port-au-Prince. He has access to resources in Haiti including land in prime locations. He is always looking for opportunities to build and expand the reach of his projects.
